How to add proxies to Browser Automation Studio

The mechanics take one action. Drop a “Proxy” action into your project before the first page load — from that point every network request in the thread, DNS lookups included, goes through the address you set, so the resolver doesn’t leak your real location. The string itself is forgiving: BAS parses IP:port, username:password@IP:port, socks5://IP:port, and half a dozen other layouts, and our Dashboard exports the list in any field order and delimiter, so the file drops in without a converter script. With whitelist authentication (up to 5 source IPs per plan at no charge) the line shrinks to a bare IP:port — one whitelisted machine covers every thread it runs, and there are no credentials to store inside a project you might share or sell.

Scaling past one thread is where the resource system earns its keep. Load the exported file as a resource (LinesFromFile, set to use each line several times), point the Proxy action at it, and each of your threads pulls its own address automatically — the pattern that maps one IP to one thread, and one thread to one account. If an address fails, BAS restarts the thread and takes the next line; to change the exit mid-script, just call the Proxy action again. That’s the whole loop: no proxy manager to babysit, the list is the manager.

What people run through it decides the IP layout. For registrations and scraping, a datacenter package spreads volume across hundreds of addresses. For long-lived accounts, keep one address per profile permanently — the same isolation principle our social media proxies page covers platform by platform. Packages start at 100 IPs, from $19/mo; specs are in the adjacent panel, and the comparison table below places datacenter packages against the other types. For a step-by-step walkthrough — the Proxy action, string formats, and loading a list through the Resource system — see the BAS proxy setup guide.

BAS proxy manager setup comes down to one exported file: pick the exact field order your resource expects, load it, and threads distribute the addresses themselves. Copy the example for your stack, or paste it into your AI coding assistant to adapt.

# HTTP or HTTPS proxy
curl -x http://login:password@IP:port https://example.com

# SOCKS5
curl --socks5-hostname IP:port \
  --proxy-user login:password \
  https://example.com
import requests

proxy = "http://login:password@IP:port" # your proxy from the Dashboard

r = requests.get(
    "https://example.com",
    proxies={"http": proxy, "https": proxy},
)
print(r.status_code)
import { ProxyAgent } from "undici";

const dispatcher = new ProxyAgent("http://login:password@IP:port");
const res = await fetch("https://example.com", { dispatcher });
console.log(res.status);
$ch = curl_init("https://example.com");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_PROXY, "IP:port");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_PROXYUSERPWD, "login:password");
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true);
$response = curl_exec($ch);
Fill in the credentials from your Dashboard. If you use IP whitelisting, you don't need a username or password.

I use proxies for online games. I have been using the service for many months and I am satisfied with the quality and efficiency. Proxies work as they should and there are practically no disconnects. I recommend it, you will not regret it!

FD Felix Drechsler July 2025

Like the service! Responsive and fast support, affordable prices, convenient renewal panel and network selection. Just what I need!

KV Kornev Vitalii February 2026

I used the service for social networking. At first I bought it for a month, but now I will definitely renew it because the quality is really good! I am very glad that I finally found a really cool service!

RC Ryan Cooper March 2026

Proxies do not fail, and at this price it is a great gift. I buy them when I need them, usually once every few months. There have been a few minor glitches but the support here is above all praise. Responsive, kind, understanding and fast. All issues were resolved promptly. It is very nice to work with true professionals.

Which proxy types does BAS support?

Two: HTTP and SOCKS5, each with or without authentication — that covers both protocols our addresses answer on (every IP in a package also supports HTTPS and SOCKS4, but inside BAS you'll pick HTTP or SOCKS5 in the Proxy action). The parser is the flexible part: IP:port, user:pass@IP:port, socks5://IP:port, and colon-separated layouts all load correctly, so almost any export format works as-is. If your project template expects a specific field order, build it in the Dashboard export instead of reformatting files by hand.

The proxy works when I compile the project but not while I'm testing it. Why?

Check the action mode — this one catches almost everyone once. The Proxy action is added in “Only Add” mode by default, which means it executes in the compiled (production) run and is silently skipped in the development environment. Your test session goes out from your real IP, target sites see the wrong location, and the proxy looks broken while being perfectly fine. Switch the action to “Execute And Add” and the development browser routes through the proxy too. Worth doing early: debugging geo-dependent logic against your own IP produces results the production run won't reproduce.

How many proxies do I need for a multithreaded project?

The working baseline is one address per concurrent thread — load the exported list as a LinesFromFile resource set to reuse lines, and threads pull addresses without any code from you. Buy some headroom on top of the thread count: when an address fails, BAS restarts the thread with the next line, and a list with zero spares stalls the queue. A practical shape is threads × 1.5, rounded up to the package size — for a 60-thread project that's a 100-IP package, from $19/mo. If a thread must change its exit mid-run, call the Proxy action again with a new line; no restart needed.

Does one IP per account really matter for BAS multi-accounting?

It's the part platforms check first. Accounts that share an exit address get linked, and a sanction on one spreads to the cluster — so the layout, not the tool, is what protects a farm: pin each profile to its own address and keep that pairing for the account's lifetime, the same way antidetect browsers pair a fingerprint profile with a fixed proxy. Two honest caveats. IP separation removes one linking signal, not all of them — fingerprints and behavior still count. And for accounts on platforms that score IP origin harshly, ISP addresses hold up better than datacenter ones; registrations and volume tasks don't usually need them.
