Why is the Netherlands a top proxy location?

The Netherlands is one of the few Western markets where Amazon showed up and didn’t win — at least not yet. Bol.com, the Utrecht-based marketplace owned by Ahold Delhaize, took about €5.2 billion in Dutch consumer spending last year against roughly €3.7 billion on Amazon.nl, and it has topped the national e-commerce ranking since 2016. The contest is live, though: Amazon.nl is growing faster, and during the December 2025 peak season its branded search volume in the Netherlands passed Bol’s for the first time. For price and assortment work that means two-platform monitoring where neither feed is optional — and both localize what they show. The second Dutch particularity is payments: iDEAL, a bank-transfer method, carries about 71% of the country’s online purchases, so a checkout viewed from a foreign IP often renders a different payment stack than a real Dutch buyer sees — payment-flow QA is a genuinely local job. Infrastructure rounds it out: Amsterdam anchors AMS-IX, among the world’s largest internet exchanges, keeping latency from Dutch ranges into the UK, DACH, and Scandinavia low.

The packages here are datacenter IPv4. Netherlands SOCKS5 proxies aren’t a separate product: every address answers over HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, and SOCKS5 — pick the port your software expects. Targeting is country-level; mix Dutch addresses with German or French ones in a single order when the job spans borders. Pricing starts from $0.10 per IP/month, up to 500 Mbps per proxy — the calculator above builds your quote; specs in the adjacent panel.

I am happy with everything at the moment. A big plus is the ability to use the free version. I was very happy with the great benefits of the free version which I was able to try out for free and then, if I do like it, start using it.

RV Robin Veith November 2024

I cannot say that I have always got perfect proxies but if I have any problem they always help me promptly. And other sellers often have somewhat worse quality.

NB Nicolo Benito October 2025

The seller is great and the proxies are quality and very fast. I use them for betting and they do not ban my betting accounts. I use them for betting and they don't make me lose my account.

EP Ethan Powell June 2026

This is not my first time to buy proxies. I like their low prices and the quality of their work. I renew my proxies (50 units) every month because I need them for parsing sites. I use them for parsing sites and I have not seen any bans. There were times when proxies did not work for some time but this would not last long.

Can I mix Dutch IPs with German or French ones?

Yes — build a mix package and include the Netherlands alongside Germany, France, or any other location we offer. One order, one export; your software sends Benelux and "fast EU transit" work through the Dutch slice and country-locked jobs through German or French addresses. How teams split a mixed list is on the mix proxies page.

Can I run proxies for social platforms from a Dutch IP?

Yes, when the platform cares that the session looks Benelux-local — ad previews, region-specific feeds, or accounts that should appear based in the Netherlands. Use one address per sensitive identity, keep pacing human, and match browser locale to NL. Datacenter exits are fine for many public checks, but be realistic about logged-in work: networks that filter hosting ranges hard need residential-level trust — for those, our ISP line includes Dutch locations: static residential addresses registered to consumer ISPs. We don't sell mobile or 4G Dutch carrier IPs; test your scenario before sizing a package.

Are “Holland proxies” and “Netherlands proxies” different pools?

Same pool. Holland is the colloquial name from the country's two provinces, North and South Holland; officially the country is the Netherlands, and in geo grids — including ours — that's one line. "Holland proxy" on any provider's page means the same Dutch addresses under a familiar label. When comparing offers, look at terms, not the name: price per IP, access model, list refreshes.

Is a Dutch address a workable “universal European” proxy?

Workable, with a caveat. For targets that only distinguish "Europe or not," NL is a strong default: dense peering via the Amsterdam hub, continental geo, from $0.10 per IP/month. For country-specific logic — no: a German store shows a Dutch visitor the Dutch storefront, and no route quality changes that. Universality ends where localization starts. For locked markets, use that country's addresses or a mix.

Bol.com vs Amazon — which matters more for Dutch monitoring?

Two years ago the answer was simply Bol; now it's both, tracked in parallel. Bol still leads on revenue and holds 47,000+ sellers, but Amazon.nl grows faster and its third-party catalog is expanding — over 60% of Amazon.nl listings come from marketplace sellers, which is exactly the segment that reprices aggressively. A monitoring setup that covers only one platform reports a market that no longer exists. Round out the picture with Coolblue for electronics, Marktplaats for secondhand, and google.nl for search and ads. Keep per-address request rates low on marketplace stacks and treat occasional challenges as normal — verify your cadence on a small package before scaling.

Why would checkout testing need a Dutch IP specifically?

Because the Dutch checkout doesn't look like anyone else's. iDEAL — a direct bank-transfer method supported by every major Dutch bank — carries about 71% of online purchases in the Netherlands; cards sit under 10%. Storefronts geo-render their payment stack, so a QA session from a foreign IP may never see the iDEAL flow a real Dutch customer gets, and a payment integration bug can sit invisible until launch. There's a deadline attached: iDEAL is being migrated into Wero, the European payments wallet, so teams selling into the Netherlands are re-testing checkout flows through the transition. A Dutch exit IP is the cheapest part of that test setup.
