My scraper hits cookie-consent screens from a European address. Is that the proxy?

Yes, and it’s normal: GDPR requires sites to ask EU visitors for consent, so a European IP gets banners you wouldn’t see from other addresses. For a scraper that means the first response may be a consent screen, not content. Two fixes: handle the banner in code (usually one POST or a selector click), or, if the content isn’t EU-specific, scrape from another region. Account for this before you launch — “empty” pages in logs are often consent banners.

Which EU countries can I include in the package?

The European pool draws from ten countries: Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Lithuania, Moldova, and Ukraine. You don’t pick flags inside this row — the list is blended from the shared pool, with each address geo-marked so you can split it after export. Need a guaranteed country on every IP? Order that country’s package, or build a custom World mix from the countries you actually need.

Is the UK included in the European mix?

Yes — British addresses are part of the ten-country pool, even though the UK left the EU. For proxy geo, “Europe” here means the continental routing region we stock, not the political membership list: a UK IP still lands on google.co.uk and sterling storefronts the same way a dedicated British package would. If every address in your list must be UK, order the United Kingdom row instead — the regional blend won’t guarantee an all-British list.

Can I combine EU and Asian IPs in one package?

Not inside the Europe row — regional sets don’t take extra continents. For a China-plus-Germany list (or any cross-region blend), order a World mix and tick both geos at checkout. If most of your volume sits in Asia alone, compare that against the ready-made Asia mix first; if Europe is one slice among many, World mix is usually the cleaner single order.

Can I use these for Yandex access from EU IPs?

Yes — for the European surface of Yandex, not the domestic Russian one. From an EU exit you get search language, ads, and Market results shaped for a Western visitor; that’s the right vantage when you’re checking Yandex.Direct creatives geo-targeted at Europe, or confirming how a brand appears outside Russia. For positions, prices, and SmartCaptcha behavior as Russians see them, you need a Russian address — see our Russia proxies page and the dedicated Proxies for Yandex guide. An EU IP doesn’t substitute for that job.

I’m testing ads across several EU countries. Is one European package enough?

Depends on how campaigns are targeted. If ads run on “Europe” as a whole — yes: European proxies show you what the continental audience sees. If campaigns are set up by country — no: creatives, prices, and landing pages differ between Germany and Spain, and you need to check them from country-level addresses. For that scenario, build a World mix from your campaign countries — one package, addresses for each country you need.

My crawler gets HTTP 451 errors from European exits but not American ones. What’s going on?

That’s not a proxy fault — it’s geofencing working as designed. A share of US publishers chose to refuse EEA visitors rather than comply with GDPR, and 451 (“Unavailable For Legal Reasons”) is the status code many of them return; others send a 403 or a “not available in your region” page with a 200. If those domains matter to your dataset, route them through non-European addresses — say, a US package — and keep the European pool for targets where the EEA vantage is the point. Logging status codes per exit geo is the cheapest way to catch this class of block early.
