It changes the part a proxy can reach — and it’s worth being precise about which part that is. TikTok tracks two different things. Your content region — which feed you see, which distribution pool your videos enter, which trends and ads you get — follows your live signals, IP first. A stable address in your target country moves that within days. Your registered account region — the one that gates Creator Rewards eligibility and selling on TikTok Shop — is set when the account is created and doesn’t follow your IP. TikTok has no manual switch for it; in practice it updates only after a genuine relocation with months of consistent local signals.
