How do I set up a proxy on my Wi-Fi router?

Not all routers support proxies, this nuance should be clarified with the manufacturer. But many of the routers from Asus, TP-Link, Xiaomi work well with this type of connection. All this is configured through the web interface. By the way, for some routers, custom Padavan firmware is also available. What does a VPN connection do?
