SIP is a virtual telephony service. A proxy server in this case is used to collect traffic, its conversion and further transmission to the subscriber via cellular communication. It is mainly used by call centers to communicate with customers.
It means a private proxy server used by several users. For example, one of them has bought a paid proxy and lets his friend use it for a fee. That is, he "shared" his proxy (shared means "common").
Several virtual proxy servers can be created within one device. These are special dedicated servers that only "service" such traffic. Many devices can connect to them at the same time.
