In the Windows Settings menu, go to "Network and Internet". At the very bottom, on the left side, find the item "Proxy server" and uncheck it so that it is no longer used. It is also desirable to uncheck the item "Automatic detection of parameters" in the section "Automatic configuration". If this is not done, there is a chance that the proxy will continue to be used. Reboot your laptop.

A proxy server is a kind of "mediator" between your equipment and a remote server (or the whole Internet). It can be used, for example, to swap your real IP address for another one, to bypass blocking. Proxies can also be actively used to intercept traffic (e.g. when testing created web applications).

To install the Selenium library in C# for Visual Studio, you can use the NuGet Package Manager, which is integrated into Visual Studio. Follow these steps to install Selenium in your C# project:

1. Open Visual Studio:

   • Launch Visual Studio and open your C# project.

2. Open the Package Manager Console:

   • Go to View -> Other Windows -> Package Manager Console to open the Package Manager Console.

3. Run the Install-Package Command:

   • In the Package Manager Console, run the following command to install the Selenium.WebDriver package:

Install-Package Selenium.WebDriver

• • Press Enter to execute the command. This will download and install the Selenium WebDriver package and its dependencies.

• Verify Installation:

  • After the installation is complete, you should see output indicating that the package has been installed successfully.

• Install Selenium.Support (Optional):

  • Depending on your requirements, you may also want to install Selenium.Support, which includes additional support classes and utilities for Selenium. Run the following command:

Add Using Statements in Your Code:

• In your C# code file, add the following using statements at the top:

using OpenQA.Selenium.Chrome;  // Use the appropriate browser namespace (e.g., Firefox, Edge, etc.)

• • Choose the appropriate browser namespace based on the WebDriver you plan to use (e.g., Chrome, Firefox).

• Download WebDriver Executable (Optional):

  • If you are using a specific browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox), you need to download the corresponding WebDriver executable.

  • Place the WebDriver executable in a location accessible to your project.

• Instantiate WebDriver in Your Code:

  • In your C# code, instantiate the WebDriver using the downloaded WebDriver executable path. For example, for Chrome:

IWebDriver driver = new ChromeDriver("path/to/chromedriver");

8. • Replace "path/to/chromedriver" with the actual path to your ChromeDriver executable.

   • Ensure that you manage the WebDriver instance properly (e.g., closing it after use).

That's it! You have successfully installed the Selenium library in your C# project. You can now use the Selenium WebDriver to automate browser interactions in your C# application.

Proxy servers are of the following types:
FTP proxy designed to send data to FTP servers.
CGI proxy, which is used to browse web services in a browser. You do not need to configure any settings. All actions are performed anonymously. Often such proxies are designed in the form of a page where you have to specify the address of a desired site.
SMTP, POP3 and IMAP proxy are designed for sending and receiving email.
HTTP and HTTPS proxies are for scrolling web services.
Socks proxy are used as an anonymizer. No one will know about the user's actions.

A browser configured for the HTTP protocol sends client requests not directly, but through a proxy server, which in turn sends them on its own behalf to the destination host. The proxy server here acts as a link between the computer and the requested resource, and the response it immediately sends to the client.
