A proxy server is a kind of "mediator" between your equipment and a remote server (or the whole Internet). It can be used, for example, to swap your real IP address for another one, to bypass blocking. Proxies can also be actively used to intercept traffic (e.g. when testing created web applications).

There are several options for its use: bypassing the blocking of websites, shopping in foreign online stores at regional (local) prices, access to a full library of media content, hiding your real IP-address.

In the "Settings" of any Android smartphone there is a "VPN" item. And there you can manually specify the parameters of the proxy, through which the connection to the Internet will be made. There, some of the programs also import ready-made scripts for proxy connections.

The OSError error in Python when using Selenium typically occurs when the WebDriver cannot find the specified executable or there's an issue with the executable itself. To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

Verify the WebDriver executable:

Set the path to the WebDriver executable:

In your Python script, set the path to the WebDriver executable using webdriver.Chrome(executable_path='path/to/chromedriver') or a similar method for other browsers. Replace 'path/to/chromedriver' with the actual path to your WebDriver executable.

Check for typos or incorrect paths:

Ensure that the path to the WebDriver executable is correct and there are no typos in the file name or directory path.

Verify the WebDriver executable version:

Make sure the version of the WebDriver executable is compatible with the version of the browser you're using. For example, if you're using Chrome version 99.0.4844.51, you should download ChromeDriver version 99.0.4844.51 or higher.

Check for multiple WebDriver executables:

If you have multiple WebDriver executables installed, there might be a conflict. Make sure you're using the correct one in your script.

Update Selenium and WebDriver:

Sometimes, an outdated version of Selenium or the WebDriver executable can cause issues. Update Selenium and the WebDriver to the latest versions to avoid compatibility problems.

Go through the "Control Panel" to the "Browser Properties" section. Open the "Connections" tab, and then by clicking on the "Network settings" button at the bottom, uncheck the "Proxy server" box. Also uncheck the "Auto-detection" checkbox under "Auto-configuration".
