There are special tools developed to check if a proxy is working. There are a large number of appropriate services and programs on the Internet. Any software that works in a general way should be excluded from their number. To use online checkers to check the quality and validity of a proxy, just specify your IP address and port number in the fields provided.

Go to "Control Panel" and in "Small icons" mode, find the item "Browser properties", aka "Internet Options". In the "Connection" tab, click on "Network Settings", and then leave the item "Automatic detection of parameters" enabled in the window that opens, and disable everything else.

To create your own proxy server, you can use open-source software such as Privoxy or Squid. Here's a step-by-step guide using Privoxy:

Install Privoxy: Download the latest version of Privoxy from the official website (https://www.privoxy.org/download/) and install it on your computer. The installation process varies depending on your operating system.
