A proxy is a service that allows access to websites blocked in different countries, while hiding your own IP address. It is a kind of intermediary between the end server and the owner's computer. A VPN provides an encrypted connection to the network, which not only allows you to keep your privacy, hide your IP address, encrypt Internet traffic, but also bypasses firewalls.

To find out the port of the proxy server, you just need to use any browser (Yandex Browser, Opera, Google Chrome). Then you need to follow the algorithm:

Start the browser. Go to "Settings". In the search box enter the query "proxy". Click on "Proxy settings". In the window that opens, select "Network settings". This will open a tab with the IP address and port of the proxy server.

If PyCharm is not recognizing the Selenium library, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue

1. Check Project Interpreter

Ensure that you have the correct Python interpreter selected for your project. Open PyCharm, go to File > Settings > Project > Project Interpreter. Make sure that the interpreter you are using has Selenium installed.

2. Install Selenium

Install the Selenium library if you haven't done so. You can install it using the following pip command in your terminal or command prompt:

3. PyCharm Reindexing:

   • Sometimes, PyCharm may not automatically recognize installed packages. Try restarting PyCharm, and it will perform a reindexing of your project. This may resolve the issue.

4. Virtual Environment:

   • If you are using a virtual environment, make sure it is activated. PyCharm should recognize the packages installed within the virtual environment.

5. PyCharm Cache:

   • Clear PyCharm's cache. Go to File > Invalidate Caches / Restart... and select "Invalidate and Restart." This will clear the caches and restart PyCharm.

6. Check Project Structure:

   • Verify that your project structure is set up correctly. The directory containing your Selenium scripts should be marked as the source root. Right-click on the directory and select Mark Directory as > Sources Root.

7. Check Python Path:

   • Verify that the Python path in PyCharm matches the path where Selenium is installed. You can check this in the Project Interpreter settings.

8. Check for Typos:

   • Ensure there are no typos or mistakes in your code. PyCharm might not recognize the library if there are syntax errors or import issues.

9. PyCharm Plugin:

   • Check if you have a PyCharm plugin related to Selenium. Some plugins provide additional support for Selenium. Make sure it is installed and enabled.

10. Update PyCharm:

    • Ensure that you are using the latest version of PyCharm. Updating to the latest version may resolve compatibility issues.

11. Recreate Virtual Environment (if applicable):

    • If you are using a virtual environment, try recreating it. Activate the new virtual environment and install Selenium again.

After going through these steps, PyCharm should recognize the Selenium library. If the issue persists, double-check your project configuration and make sure there are no conflicting settings or issues with your Python environment.
