Proxy servers are of the following types:
FTP proxy designed to send data to FTP servers.
CGI proxy, which is used to browse web services in a browser. You do not need to configure any settings. All actions are performed anonymously. Often such proxies are designed in the form of a page where you have to specify the address of a desired site.
SMTP, POP3 and IMAP proxy are designed for sending and receiving email.
HTTP and HTTPS proxies are for scrolling web services.
Socks proxy are used as an anonymizer. No one will know about the user's actions.

To connect your iPhone to a proxy server, follow these steps:

Open the "Settings" section. Go to the "Wi-Fi" tab. Next to your access point, click on "i". Click on "Proxy settings". Use the manual setting and specify the proxy data. To specify the proxy username and password you need to enable the "Authentication" option. Save your settings.

To check the quality of a proxy server, you can use one of the proxy checkers. There are a lot of them on the Internet. For example, hidemy.name. On the page of the checker you need to specify the IP-address and port of the required proxy server.
