A proxy is just used to bypass torrent download blocking through your ISP's network. Separately, the proxy server can block the host, that is, the owner of the site where the torrent files are posted. But it happens mostly due to malicious violations of the rules for using such a resource (for example, "cheating" rating).

In e-mail, proxy servers are used for secure data exchange as well as for collecting e-mails from several e-mail addresses at once. For example, this is how Gmail works, which also allows you to receive e-mails from mail.ru and other e-mail services.

There are several ways to earn money by offering proxy services or leveraging proxies for various tasks. Here are some methods to consider:

1. Sell proxy services: You can set up your own proxy server and offer it as a service to customers who require anonymity, security, or geographical bypassing. You can charge a subscription fee or offer pay-as-you-go plans based on the quality and features of your proxy service.

To know the host of a proxy server, you can follow these steps:

Check the proxy settings: If you are using a proxy on your device or within an application, examine the proxy settings to see if the host (IP address or hostname) of the proxy server is mentioned.

Observe the proxy URL: The proxy URL can sometimes indicate the host of the proxy server. For example, an HTTP proxy URL usually starts with "http://" or "https://" followed by the proxy server's IP address or hostname, while a SOCKS proxy URL typically starts with "socks://" followed by the proxy server's IP address or hostname.

In Windows 8 and later editions it is recommended to setup network proxy through Group Policy. To do this, run GPMC.msc (via "Run" or enter in the "Search"), then select the section with the users, from the list of parameters select "Internet Settings". Further settings are not different from the standard ones in Windows. You can set proxy, specify the start page, enter restrictions and so on.
