It depends on which browser you are using. In Opera, Chrome, Edge a proxy is configured at the level of the operating system itself. In Firefox in the settings there is a special item (in the "Privacy" section).

Working through a proxy involves routing your internet traffic through a proxy server, which acts as an intermediary between your device and the internet. This can be done for various reasons, such as improving security, privacy, or accessing content that may be restricted in your location. Here's how to work through a proxy:

Obtain a proxy server: First, you need to find a proxy server that meets your needs. You can find proxy servers through online directories or by asking for recommendations from friends, family, or online communities. Make sure to choose a reliable and trustworthy proxy server.

Configure your device or browser: Once you have a proxy server, you need to configure your device or browser to use the proxy. The process varies depending on the device and browser you're using.

To view proxy settings on your computer, follow these steps based on your operating system:

Windows:

1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Click on "Internet Options."
3. Go to the "Connections" tab and click "LAN settings."
4. Check the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" option to view the current proxy settings.

macOS:

1. Open System Preferences.
2. Click on "Network."
3. Select your active network connection (e.g., Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
4. Click the "Advanced" button.
5. Go to the "Proxies" tab to view the current proxy settings.

To deactivate the proxy server on Windows 10, you need to perform the following steps:
Open the "Windows Settings" menu.
Go to the "Network and Internet" tab.
Open the "Proxy Server" section.
Deactivate the "Use setup script" option.
Deactivate "Use proxy server" option. Reboot your computer. If the proxy server option has not been disabled, deactivate the "Define parameters automatically" option in the "Proxy server" section. After that you have to restart your PC again.
