Proxy servers are needed for Telegram, so that they can substitute their IP address instead of the real one. This procedure makes it possible to avoid blocking and bypass the ban on the messenger in our country. There are three types of protocols that can be set up for Telegram: Socks5, HTTP and MTPROTO. You can check it with the ping command from the command line in Windows. It is enough to enter it, with a space - the data of the proxy server (including the number of the port used) and press Enter. The reply message will tell you whether or not you have received a reply from the remote server. If not, the proxy is unavailable, respectively.

3. Enter the proxy server address (IP address or hostname) and port number in the appropriate fields in your browser or proxy extension settings.

5. If the proxy is working correctly, the website should display your proxy's IP address or a different IP address than your original one. This indicates that the proxy is successfully routing your traffic.

6. If the website displays your original IP address, it means that the proxy is not working or not being used.

On the PC you can use SOCKS5 proxies, for example, through the browser Firefox. There are such a function in the settings, you just need to activate it. The only nuance: the connection speed or ping indicators in this case may be slowed down.
