A proxy can be used for anonymous web surfing. After all, the connection is made through an intermediate server. And all the sites visited by the user will see the IP address of the proxy server, not the user himself. It can also be used to access resources that are only available to the citizens of a particular country.

Proxy servers are needed for Telegram, so that they can substitute their IP address instead of the real one. This procedure makes it possible to avoid blocking and bypass the ban on the messenger in our country. There are three types of protocols that can be set up for Telegram: Socks5, HTTP and MTPROTO. As for the last protocol, its own applications are developed for it.

To find the proxy server of your printer, follow these steps:

1. Check the printer manual: The manual may contain information about the proxy server or how to access the printer's settings.

2. Access the printer's settings: Connect your printer to your computer or network, and then access the printer's settings through the printer's control panel or the software you use to manage the printer.

3. Look for network settings: In the printer settings, search for a section related to network settings, network configuration, or network connection.

4. Find the proxy server information: In the network settings, look for information about the proxy server address, port, and authentication details (if applicable).

If you're unable to find the proxy server information in the printer settings, it's possible that your printer doesn't use a proxy server. In such cases, you can directly connect the printer to the internet using an Ethernet cable or through your Wi-Fi network.

To create your own proxy server, you can use open-source software such as Privoxy or Squid. Here's a step-by-step guide using Privoxy:

Install Privoxy: Download the latest version of Privoxy from the official website (https://www.privoxy.org/download/) and install it on your computer. The installation process varies depending on your operating system.

Configure Privoxy: After installing Privoxy, open the configuration file, usually located at /etc/privoxy/config.txt on Linux or C:\Program Files\Privoxy\config\config.txt on Windows. You can also find the configuration file in the installation directory.

Edit the configuration file: Open the configuration file in a text editor and make the following changes:

Uncomment the following line by removing the # symbol at the beginning:

listen-address 0.0.0.0

Uncomment the following line and change the port number if desired (e.g., 8118):

listen-port 8118

Uncomment the following line to enable HTTPS support:

forward-suffix .privoxy

Add the following line to forward requests to a specific destination server (replace with the desired server's address):

forward-suffix 

Save the configuration file and restart Privoxy: Close the text editor and restart Privoxy to apply the changes. On Linux, you can use the following command:

sudo /etc/init.d/privoxy restart

On Windows, locate the Privoxy service in the Windows Services list and restart it.

Test your proxy server: Open a web browser and configure it to use your new proxy server (e.g., http://localhost:8118). Test by accessing a website to ensure that the proxy server is working correctly.

To see the proxy server address on your PS, you need to do the following steps:

Launch PlayStation 4.
In the "Library" category, go to "Settings".
Select "Network.
Click on "Establish an Internet connection.
Select "Use LAN cable" or "Use Wi-Fi". In the second case, select an access point and specify the password. On a new page, select "Special". In categories "IP-address settings", click on the item "Automatic". You do not need to specify the DHCP hostname.
DNS settings - "Automatic".
MTU settings - "Automatic".
In the "Proxy Server" section, click on "Use".
On the page that opens, the data of the proxy server will be specified.
