It means organizing a connection through several VPN-servers at once. It is used to protect confidential data as much as possible or to hide one's real IP address. This principle of connection is used, for example, in the TOR-browser. That is, when all traffic is sent immediately through a chain of proxy servers.

A proxy in data centers is usually a separate server that processes incoming requests and then distributes them to the submitted addresses (or IP). Also through the proxy it is possible to allocate a specific user a separate IP address for connection (for example, if he needs a virtual server).

A proxy server script address, also known as a proxy script or proxy URL, is a specific address that points to a script or a web page containing instructions for connecting to a proxy server. This script or web page can be written in various programming languages, such as PHP, Perl, or Python, and it typically contains the configuration settings and parameters required to connect to a proxy server.

When you visit a website or access an online resource, your browser or application may use a proxy server to route your traffic. In some cases, you might need to manually configure your browser or application to use a specific proxy server. To do this, you would need the proxy server's script address, which you can then enter into the appropriate settings field.

Here, and represent the proxy server's authentication credentials, is the proxy server's IP address or hostname, is the proxy server's port number, and is the path to the proxy script on the proxy server.

To check if your computer uses a proxy-server, you just need to use any browser (Yandex Browser, Opera, Google Chrome). Then you need to follow the algorithm:

Start your browser.
Go to "Settings".
In the search box enter the query "proxy".
Click on "Proxy settings".
In the tab that opens, select "Network settings".
This will open a tab with the IP address and port of the proxy server, if it is used. If the function is disabled, the line will be empty, and the option itself is disabled.
