All you need to know when using a web proxy is the address of the web site of the proxy server. A web proxy is like a browser built into a web page. Usually, it always has a bar for entering the URL of the web site you want to open. After entering the URL of the web proxy server address into the address bar of the browser, enter the address of the desired web site into the proxy URL and press "Enter".
Open the Chrome preferences screen, and then, expanding the advanced settings menu, click on the "Advanced" section. Open the "System" item, then on the tab that opens, click on "Open proxy settings for computer". The proxy settings interface will appear in front of you. This will be either the "System Settings" application or the "Browser Properties" application, depending on your operating system.
To connect your router to a proxy server, follow these steps:
1. Access router admin interface (usually 192.168.1.1)
2. Log in with default or custom credentials
3. Navigate to LAN/Network settings
4. Find and open Proxy Server settings
5. Enter proxy server type, IP, port, and authentication if needed
6. Save and apply changes
7. Update device proxy settings to use router's proxy server
Google Chrome doesn't have a built-in function to work with a proxy server, although there is such an item in the settings. But when you click on it, you are automatically "redirected" to the standard proxy settings in Windows (or any other operating system).
When using a proxy, Google Chrome warns the user about it at startup. To connect directly, you must disable proxies at system level. That is, go to "Settings" Windows, then - "Network and Internet", in the section "Proxy server" disable the corresponding item.
